Cochran’s Q-test

• Assumptions to check:

  • the n subjects are independent of one another and were selected at random form a larger population

  • responses are binary and from k matched samples

  • the sample is sufficiently large (usually n>3 and nk>23)

• Report design (in Methods section)

  • statistical package or program used in the analysis (RRID)

• Report statistics (in Results section)

  • chi-square statistic, degrees of freedom, exact p-value

  • descriptive statitics
